The KICKER KM6250.2 consists of two 6-inch, boat-ready midrange speakers with removable external crossovers, and a pair of premium one-inch tweeters. It brings marine speaker engineering to the forefront, all while delivering remarkable sound quality. KICKER Marine midrange speakers are engineered using MAXBasket Geometry, providing oversized, louder 6.5-inch cones that perform in speaker baskets designed for a standard 5-inch cutout hole. That means more bang for the buck! Additionally, if depth issues are impeding midrange installation, the external crossovers (2-way, 18dB/octave high-pass and 12dB/octave low-pass at 4kHz) can be conveniently removed from the speakers and mounted nearby, freeing up plenty of working space. The tweeters are designed for flush, surface, or angle mounting. UV treatments on the midranges’ injection-molded cones, Santoprene surrounds, baskets, and grilles help them to last in freshwater or saltwater environments. These speakers can endure most any weather conditions with splash- and spray-resisting sealed motors, cones, and locking terminal covers. And if that weren’t enough, they come packaged with ample wiring for running to the power amplifier in a large vessel. Water-resistant, bolt-thru grilles, with a bold look and easy-to-match metallic color, offer added speaker protection. All hardware is made from rustproof, 316L stainless-steel. KICKER Marine Components meet or exceed industry standards for environmental humidity and corrosion* and for material degradation due to UV exposure. An easy-to-read, 6-line display tells you the channel name and number, category, artist name, song title, and time simultaneously. To suit your environment, you can control the contrast, dimming, and color (amber or green) of the display. Program up to 30 presets of your favorite streams, as well as search by stream, artist name, song title, or category. With the touch of a button you can switch between the traffic and weather reports for your city and any of the other music, news, or entertainment channels. Enter up to 20 of your favorite songs, and the receiver will alert you when they are playing on any of the music channels. Listing and search options let you search by channel name, artist name, song title, category, and presets to find your favorite programming. Time functions include an onscreen clock, alarm, and sleep timer, as well as a program alert that allows the unit to switch to a preprogrammed stream at a selected time. A full-function remote control lets you select channels, browse categories, or change display settings quickly and easily.

The Sportster earns its name because it has enhanced features specifically designed for sports lovers. The Game Alert feature prompts you when your favorite NFL or other sports teams are playing on Sirius. The Game Zone lists all of the play-by-play games and scores on Sirius by league (MLB, NFL, NHL, etc.). And what sports fan could do without the Sportster's personalized team logo startup and shutdown screen?

The Sportster has a built-in FM transmitter that allows the music received by the unit to be transmitted to a nearby FM tuner. Never Listen to Ordinary Radio Again : Sirius SPR1 Sportster Satellite Radio Receiver

I really have enjoyed this radio.Being a ham operator,i have for many years listened to stations from around the world such as the BBC and Radio Netherlands.But many have stopped shortwave broadcasts to the USA.Now i can listen to all of them here 24 hours a day!!The news content is the main reason i purchased the radio.Cable t.v. costs way too much and i cannot use a satellite dish as my apartment faces the north.$12.00 is so cheap in comparison.I have hooked mine up to a computer sub-woofer stereo system in my bedroom.Sound is incredible with no interference or FM drift .Occasionally though the satellites change their orbit just a bit(even though they are supposed to be geo-stationary)and the signal disappears.So i have positioned the antenna around the room to discern where my options are for reception.If you place the antenna outside facing east or close to that,the signal will be excellent.Since Sirius uses 3 satellites,the odds of not receiving a signal are nil.The radio is very user friendly that an 8 year old can use it with no manual.The music assortment is splendid offering anything one desires.I listen to classical and even though there are only 3 classical channels,it is nice to hear what they choose to play.(although they do play a lot of the warhorses:Beethoven,Mozart,etc.).I have 3000 cd's of classical so this really does not concern me but others will really enjoy the "no commercials" aspect of the music channels.My wife likes the Classic radio programs channel and i look forward to the NHL broadcasts.
Sirius offers a better lineup in my opinion(for me)and even though it is a little more expensive per month,three satellites as opposed to one give me a little more confidence in continued service.I drove to Seattle from Portland with the car kit in place and never had a dead spot!!Listened to anything i wanted without having to change the channel when the signal faded as with FM.
I have the car kit,home docking kit,and plan on buying the boombox when it is available.Buy this radio and you will enjoy it!!BTW,when the radio gets warm,it is normal.The heat sink inside is distributing the heat well and with the display always on it is a good thing that it does not use batteries as it would eat them fast.

I could not have asked for a better value! : PIONEER AVIC-N4 IN-DASH DVD w/NAVIGATION & TOUCHSCREEN

This stereo system is the best value I have ever seen. I am very knowledgable on all things audio, and this has always surpassed my expectations. For anyone who is new to advanced stereo systems; this system consists of two pieces, the-head unit and a hideaway unit. The head-unit is the flipping LCD screen used to control the system, and the hideaway unit is a small computer used to process most of the systems functions. The hideaway unti is most often mounted under the passenger seat. I have a compact sports edition BMW with completely electricly adjusted seats, and I do not have any problems with the hideaway unit being mounted under the seat, even with my car's limited space. I have not had any problems with the stereo, and it still surprises any passenger in the car when it flips open and with all of its capabilities. The GPS comes standard with this system, but I have not purchased any of the add-ons. Without the add-ons I still can play music, or hear phone calls through my speakers, with a simple audio jack, and I directly connected my sirius sattelite radio into the unit's radio. There is absolutely no interference between the GPS's sattelites and my sirius' sattelites, along with zero radio interference. There is also a built in equalizer, subwoofer controls, staging, fading, etc. If you still have not seen my point, this is an absolutely incredible value and will impress any audio enthusiast.
